DESIGN BASICS:

We have created a "Design Basics" guide to help you prepare your artwork that answers all the most commonly asked questions, from properly setting up your files for print, to how to name and archive your files, to how to proof your files. We encourage all of our customer to review.

USING OUR TEMPLATES

Unless you've arranged it wth your Sales Representative beforehard, we require that ALL ARTWORK BE RECEIVED IN PIRATES PRESS DESIGN TEMPLATES.

SUBMITTING ARTWORK
*** YOUR "CATALOG NUMBER" IS YOUR SALES ORDER NUMBER,
PROVIDED TO YOU BY YOUR SALES REP ***

1. Name your files in a way that is easy for us to understand.
    Combine your Catalog Number and the Product...
    (i.e. ABC123jacket.eps, ABC123labelA.eps, ABC123labelB.eps).

2. Place the final files into one folder named with your
    Catalog Number and the word “Art” (i.e. ABC123_ART).

3. Archive the folder (.zip or .sit) and upload it to our web-based
    application at
http://www.piratespress.com/upload.

 

PLEASE NOTE: If you need to send your art files on a disc, do not send us your only copy! We are not responsible for masters lost or damaged in transit, nor while in our possession. We do not return discs except by special request!

The last thing anyone wants to do is to have to redo their work. For this reason, it is important that you understand our specifications and templates, and prepare from the outset to properly design and submit your artwork.
