Introducing another brand new way to make your release stand out! For everyone that has been asking to print a full color image on one side of a standard vinyl record – we’ve got you! …and for those of you who wanted to create the aesthetic that picture flexis have, leaving transparent knockouts or knockouts to whatever colored vinyl you choose to print on, we have your answer!

This very special UV digital printing process allows us to print on the NON-GROOVE SIDE (back) of 12” records, achieving brilliant results; and if you use transparent vinyl, you can give it a double-sided effect similar to a picture disc.

If you ever wanted to make a record that looked like a standard record on one side and a picture disc on the other, (with the caveat that ours can only be one sided), we now have the answer for you!

As noted above, using this technology on transparent records, especially Ultra Clear (P15), allows a whole new array of possibilities. Similar to the effects that we have been able to achieve using PICTURE FLEXIS, you can design your printing to take place using two full sets of full color artwork, separated by a white layer, with or without knockouts that leave you transparent bits, like the leaves in the wreath shown to your right.

This is NOT a picture disc!

These are one-sided records that are digitally printed on the non-groove side, with two separate passes through the machine creating this effect. The possibilities to elevate all kinds of new creative design ideas is endless. Since it is a time-intensive process and our capacity for this is limited at the moment, our prices are aimed at 500 units and below – so experiment away! This is another great option to create limited, collectible variants. And because you can print as few as 100 records—with minimal setup involved in the digital printing process—you could even print a different design on each colored vinyl version!

These are pressed on REAL VINYL and sound far better than picture discs! … And like any 12” record we make, we can fit at least 20 minutes of music on the groove side; more if you want to push it a little…these days that’s more than most listeners’ attention span anyways!
