The Audio Cassette Tape is a magnetic tape recording format for audio recording and playback. Cassettes come in two forms, either already containing content as a pre-recorded cassette, or as fully recordable "blank" cassette.

Cassettes consist of two miniature spools, between which a magnetically coated plastic tape is passed and wound. These spools and their attendant parts are held inside a protective plastic shell. Two stereo pairs of tracks (four total) or two monaural analog audio tracks are available on the tape; one stereo pair or one monophonic track is played or recorded when the tape is moving in one direction and the second pair when moving in the other direction.

In recent years, the Cassette format has seen a revival with independent record labels and artists preferring to issue releases in this format due to its low cost and the difficulty in sharing tape music over the internet, as well as with audiophiles, interested in the warmth and complexity available in the true audio sound of tape recordings.

The Audio Cassette Tape is alive and well and we have the capacity to handle any size project and the audio mastering expertise to make it professional in every way.
