![]() CD Records are VINYL RECORDS pressed on a CD PRESS. For real!! With the decline of CDs, we have found a great use of the underused presses in our factory. It looks and feels like a CD, but the surface has grooves, and (with a small foam adapter) is playable on most turntables*. These tiny gems can fit about two minutes of music, and in all honesty, don’t sound half bad! Better than the sound on a postcard flexi, but perhaps not as good as a picture flexi (in large part due to the angle that the needle hits the groove in such a small diameter). These can be made on either clear polymer (like The Drowns & Territories examples) or black polymer (like the Smalltown) one. The printing can be done on the groove side, within the diameter of the grooves, or on the reverse, using the full diameter of the disc, more like a picture disc. Printing multiple layers can even allow you to give the final product two sides of artwork. Obviously there are tons of available CD packages that can be used to house these records at very affordable pricing. At high quantities especially, this is arguably one of the cheapest ways in the world to make any vinyl record. Even still, we can help people make it work at less intimidating quantities as well. For example, 1000 of these in a simple clear sleeve will only run you about $1.50 a piece. Make a giant impact with something tiny, and affordable. These tiny gems pack a big punch, and will truly stand out in the marketplace, and be talked about by collectors and fans alike – WAY more than your average 7” (or even 5”) record! *=Certain turntables with automatic return will not play any records under 5″s. (These records do NOT carry digital data on the reverse side. They’re only a record, playable on a turntable. Currently the option for adding digital data to the reverse side is not possible. Because the setup costs to convert a DVD machine over to make those is so great, we can really only make that product at VERY LARGE quantities. For normal CD-Records, without digital data, only grooves – our minimum is 500.)
